To the families of USD 495,
USD 495’s Food Service Team served 250 meal packages today, which is incredible! As we plan for day two of meal delivery we wanted to inform you of some additional procedures we will have at each location. We would like all drivers and students to stay in their vehicles as they enter the pickup locations. We will have staff come to your vehicle to find out how many meals a vehicle needs and then distribute that number of meals. Provided is the specific directions for each pick up location.
Middle School
At the middle school please enter the bus drop off parking lot and follow the curb as though you are a bus for drop off and pickup.
District Office
Enter the district parking lot on the east side of the building through the 6th Street entrance and follow the cones around the parking lot and exit on Topeka.
Pawnee Rock and Garfield
Please drive vehicle beside the USD 495 District Vehicle for delivery.
If families or students will be coming to a pick up location by walking, please come to the table at the pickup location to receive your meal package.
We are organizing these specific pick up procedures, so that we are following health and safety guidelines of social distancing for all parties involved.
Tomorrow will be another first for our Grab and Go meals as we will have our first hot meal for pickup, which will be a Beef and Bean Burrito. I can speak for all of our staff that helped serve today that it was great to see all the smiling faces of our students again. Have a great evening.
