COVID-19 Update

Greetings USD 495 Families,

As we continue with our implementation of the Continuous Learning Plan for USD 495 we are ready to announce a major step in our plan. We have developed a pick up schedule for each building so that students are able to pick up personal items, band instruments, a requested device, and paper learning packets. Our staff has been working this week to place all student personal items in a bag that will make pick up by families as easy as we can, while still adhering to all health and safety guidelines. Listed is the exact details for each building. Due to the number of students and items at each facility we have worked to make plans operate as smoothly as we can plan for. We ask that you stay in your vehicle, provide your students name, and then we will bring your students items to each individual vehicle.


Larned Elementary School

Date:  Friday, April 3rd

Time:  9:00 am - 12:00pm and 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Directions:  Based on last name please utilize the following pick up locations:

                        East Side of Elementary School (Bus Drop off) - Last Name O-Z

                        West Side of Elementary Parent Pickup Lane - Last Name H-N

                        West Side of Elementary Parking Lot - Last Name A-G

Pickup Items:  Personal Items, band instruments, requested device, learning packet for next week

Drop off items: Library books, kindergarten readers and book club books


Larned Middle School

Date: Thursday, April 2nd - Personal Items

Time: 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Directions: Based on last name please utilize the following pick up locations:

                        East Side of Middle School Tri-County Door - A-F

                        South Side of Middle School Gym Green Door - G-L

                        South Side of Middle School Entrance Doors - M-S

                        West Side of Middle School Entrance Doors - T-Z

Pickup Items:  Personal Items, band instruments, PE Locker materials (We are needing students to contact MS office to provide locker number information)

Drop off items: Library books

Date: Friday, April 3rd -Device and Learning Packets

Time: 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Directions: Based on last name please utilize the following pick up locations:

                        South Side of Middle School Main Entrance Doors - A-L

                        West Side of Middle School Main Entrance Doors - M-Z

Pickup Items:  Requested Device and learning packets


Larned High School

Date: Thursday, April 2nd

Time: 10:00 am - 12:00 pm and 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm (We encourage band students to go between 10:00 am – 12:00 pm if possible)

Directions: Based on grade level please follow these pick up locations:

                        Freshman- Main Doors on East Side of High School

                        Sophomore- Southwest parking lot of High School – Band room doors

                        Juniors- East Side of High School Gym Entrance

                        Seniors- Senior Parking Side of High School Cafeteria Entrance

Pickup Items:  Personal Items, Requested Device and learning packets (if ready by Thursday)


If you are unable to make the times and dates scheduled for pick up, please notify the school building that your child attends to make different arrangements. We are here to make any accommodations that a family needs, including scheduling at home drop off. We have worked to develop an organized and efficient way to get all of our students items back to them, but that doesn’t mean it is going to be perfect. Please be patient on Thursday and Friday during the pick-up times as we coordinate this process.

Please keep in mind our top priority during this pick-up is keeping our families, students and staff safe. Again, If you have any questions please contact your students school building office for assistance.
