Jason Duvall

USD 495 welcomes our new 2026-2027 PE/Weights Teacher and Head Football coach for Larned High School, Jason Duvall. He brings a wealth of experience, energy, and passion for working with students and athletes. Jason has more than 31 years of experience in education, including 27 years teaching PE and Weights. During his career, he has taught in both Texas and Kansas, building a strong reputation for dedication to students and athletics.

In addition to teaching, he has coached football, baseball, softball, track, and bowling at multiple levels and has served as head coach in both football and softball. His goal has always been to help student-athletes develop not only their skills, but also teamwork, discipline, and character.

Born in Bridgeport, CT, he grew up living in several states before graduating from Plano Senior High School and attending Texas Tech University, where he played football and earned a degree in Recreation and Leisure Services.

He and his wife, Shelly, have seven children and six grandchildren, along with two dogs, Ky and Rudy. In his free time, he enjoys golfing, landscaping, lawn work, and relaxing in nature. One highlight from his younger years was working a football camp where he spent time talking football with Troy Aikman, Jay Novacek, and Jason Garrett of the Dallas Cowboys.

He is excited to meet and work with new people while becoming more directly involved with the students of the Larned school district. Above all, he is deeply passionate about what he does. He believes in giving 100% effort in every task and hopes to instill that same commitment in his students and athletes. His goal is to build positive, lasting relationships with students, athletes, and the community, helping them succeed both in school and beyond.
