USD 495 is excited to welcome a new teacher who brings a unique background and a passion for helping students succeed.
Growing up in the small Kansas communities of St. Leo and Pratt, she learned the importance of building strong relationships and supporting those around her. A graduate of Pratt High School, she now looks forward to bringing those values into her classroom.
Before entering education, she spent 13 years working in healthcare in a variety of roles. Most recently, she served as an Activity Director, where she developed strengths in communication, creativity, organization, and meeting the needs of individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Family is at the heart of her life. She has two daughters and has been with her boyfriend for 9½ years. She credits her family experiences with helping shape the way she connects with and supports her students.
Outside of school, she is a devoted Harry Potter fan and has a fascination with sharks—especially the Great Hammerhead. One of her bucket-list goals is to swim with them someday.
As she begins her teaching career, she is excited to help students experience history in engaging and creative ways. Her goal is to make learning meaningful while helping students build confidence in their ideas and abilities.
Please join us in welcoming her to USD 495!
