USD 495 is excited to welcome a new member to our music department!
Entering his fourth year of teaching, he most recently served as the K-8 Band and Music Teacher at Central Kansas Christian Academy in Great Bend and previously taught K-12 Band and Music at Otis-Bison. He attended Barton Community College and is currently continuing his education through Fort Hays State University.
Born in St. Joseph, Missouri, he lived in several Kansas communities before graduating from Abilene High School. Those experiences helped shape his appreciation for small-town communities and strong relationships.
He and his wife, Camelle, will celebrate nine years of marriage this December after meeting in the Barton Community College Hilltop Singers show choir. Camelle is an Occupational Therapist at Pawnee Valley Community Hospital, and the couple recently welcomed their newborn son, Coen Joseph, to the family.
Outside of school, he enjoys reading, gaming, music, golf, and serving on the worship team at The Father's House church. He also proudly served 13 years in the Kansas National Guard as a third-generation member of his family. He is also a big Dallas Cowboys fan, and hopes nobody holds that against him!
What excites him most about joining USD 495 is the opportunity to focus on his passion for band and help inspire the next generation of musicians. He is grateful for the warm welcome and looks forward to becoming part of the Fort Larned family.
Please join us in welcoming him to USD 495!
