LHS Senior, Carter Atteberry, started out as a volunteer at Ft. Larned and is now an intern at the National Park, making history come to life. In uniform, Carter presented all about the Fort to our 3rd graders at LES last Friday to help them with the Kansas unit. Way to go, Carter! You can't celebrate a Chiefs Spirit Week without a tailgate! Our staff brought in their favorite tailgate item to snack on throughout the day. It was a nice change to have a little break instead of work during our morning collaboration meeting.

It was another windy, cold morning but that didn't stop the staff of the Family Crisis Center from showing up to greet LES students for Hi5 Friday! It's so fun to watch the kids AND the adults sharing their smiles and high fives with each other. Thank you Family Crisis Center staff for offering our students some caring and kindness this morning!
