USD 495 will have a 2-hour delay for school on Thursday. With the 2-hour delay there will be no AM Preschool and breakfast will not be served. This will ensure our busses are operating during daylight hours on our rural routes that have some drifted areas on roads. We are also needing to remove snow from our facilities. With the extreme wind chills forecasted overnight, staff will have additional time. Student and staff safety is always our top priority and we appreciate your support.
Congratulations to the LMS 7th grade (2nd place) and 8th grade (3rd place) scholars bowl teams for performance in Lyons last night. They competed against 7 other schools in pool play before moving into placing in bracket play. Go Indians!

There will be no school for USD 495 tomorrow, February 2nd due to the predicted winter weather by the National Weather Service, specifically the winter storm warning in effect for our school district area. We are expecting moderate snow in our area from 6 AM-6 PM, with high winds that will cause blowing snow and difficult travel conditions. All activity practices are cancelled for tomorrow. We will monitor the weather throughout tomorrow to make a determination for Thursday. Student safety is always our top priority and we appreciate your support.

Just a reminder that the Little Indian Cheer Clinic is this Friday from 3:45-5:15 at Larned Elementary School. The girls can stay at school if they are participating, just be sure to call and let the office staff know.
LMS 8th graders will be going to Hoisington today for Reality U as they were able to adapt the schedule to accommodate our late start. Students will return before school ends today.

Due to the inclement weather all after school practices and activities for Larned High School have been cancelled for this evening.
Larned MIddle School Wrestling's practice is cancelled for Today- 1.25.22.
No practice today for middle school wrestlers.
LMS Scholars Bowl is still planning on leaving for Nickerson for their meet today at 4pm. We will leave 5-10 minutes early. Road conditions are wet but good the farther east you get.
