This has to be one of our favorite Super Chat interviews yet! Nurse Cindi shares what it’s really like to care for kids every day—and it’s so much more than Band-Aids.
Can you believe our nurses have already documented 4,573 health office visits this year across 3 buildings? And we still have 9 weeks to go! That number doesn’t even include scheduled meds, screenings, or chronic care.
Give it a listen. There’s so much to learn (and love) in this episode! #larnedpride

You don’t need to go far to explore new life—just grab a microscope. 🔬 Mr. Drimmel’s biology students practiced their microscope skills and got a close-up look at tiny freshwater organisms. #larnedpride #learningisfun

More than a third of teens say they’re on social media almost constantly.
Let’s learn how to support them in a world that never logs off.

We know how busy weeknights can be, so thank you for spending part of yours with us! 🧡 It was great having our 1st and 2nd grade families together at LES for Family Dance Night—just a simple night of time well spent. #larnedpride #lesfamily #bettertogether
No forks required—Mrs. Upson’s crew measured circumference, diameter, and served up a healthy slice of Pi in middle school math. #larnedpride #learningisfun

LMS Robotics was at FHSU yesterday for the Lego Robotics competition! Ms. Polston, said the team did a great job and represented LMS well. We’re proud of the work they put in—way to go, LMS! #larnedpride

Social media wasn't made for kids—but kids are using it anyway.
We’re going to talk about how to keep them safe in a digital world that wasn’t built for them. See you April 7! 👉 bit.ly/april7presentation

Update for Larned High School Track Families: Our team was scheduled to compete at LaCrosse this Thursday, April 3. Due to the weather forecast, the meet has been rescheduled to Wednesday, April 2. Start times remain the same. #larnedpride
One week from today, we’ll talk about how to protect the one precious childhood every child gets.
You’re invited to Protect Young Eyes—a powerful, nationally recognized presentation that gives everyday adults practical ways to help keep kids safe online. Even the most loving adults can feel unsure. The world has changed—the apps, the access, the unknowns. That’s why this night matters.
If you’re a parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle, neighbor, coach, or friend—this night is for you. Even if you’re not sure what to expect. Even if you think this might not apply to your child. Even if you feel like you don’t know enough about technology.
If you attend, you’ll leave with simple, real-life steps you can take right away to make your home safer.
We know it’s a busy weeknight, so we’ve made it easy:
🍕 Humble Pie will be selling pizza by the slice at the Community Center
☀️ Free dinner and childcare for kids (up to 5th grade) is available at LES for families who pre-register: bit.ly/april7childcare
🎁 And yes—we’ve got some great giveaways for those who attend!
Come sit with us. Bring a friend. Bring your questions. (You’ll be glad you did.)

Larned hosted 427 students from 23 schools at Saturday’s 321A Regional Solo & Ensemble Festival—and these LHS performers are headed to State: David Colglazier, Keirstin Pinkston, Leah Pinkston, Grayson Maxwell, Slade Sundahl, Troy Hemken, Cassie Manry, and Tristan Thompson! 🎶
We owe a big thank-you to Mr. Lyman and Marsha Reece. We host Regionals every year, and every year people tell us how smooth it runs—this year was no different. Huge thanks to everyone who pitched in, and especially to Marsha and Craig for the hours (and hours!) they put in behind the scenes. #larnedpride #besttribeever

Congratulations to Brennon Stahlecker, the LHS JAG-K Student of the Month! 🎉
💬 "Brennon brings curiosity and determination to class and is always eager to learn and engage in discussions. His thoughtful questions and ability to work with his peers set a great example for others. It’s a pleasure to have him in class!" – Mr. Upson
💬 "A class with Brennon in it will never be boring. He is naturally funny and inquisitive, but is still respectful. He’s shown that he genuinely cares about others and takes responsibility when needed. I wish I had more students like him." – Mrs. Baldwin
💬 "I love seeing Brennon interact with his peers and his involvement in school activities. As many may know, Brennon is always up for a fun time. As his mom and a teacher at the school, it's neat seeing how he interacts with his peers and his school spirit. Additionally, seeing him get excited about his and his teammates' 2nd place finish at State and trip to Nationals, makes me even more thankful for JAG and its impact on him." – Mrs. Stahlecker
Way to go, Brennon! 👏 #larnedpride

Two school years behind.

Andy Robson and Richard Hall stopped by Friday morning to give students a hands-on intro to bricklaying and spend time with Trenton Devine as he preps for the SkillsUSA masonry competition in Hutchinson this April.

It’s no wonder so many of us feel overwhelmed. Kids are spending hours a day on screens—and for teens, it’s nearly 9.
Let’s figure out how to help them find balance.

Our littlest learners had the "best day ever" celebrating their 100th day of school yesterday!
🎉 Counted to 100 (a lot)
🍭 Strung 100 Froot Loops—some were eaten in the process
🎨 Painted 100 dots
👑 Made crowns and colored a fun page to celebrate
🧱 Built towers with 100 cups and Legos
👵🏼👴🏼 Their favorite part was seeing themselves aged to 100 on the surprise bulletin board!

Our art students spent Wednesday at Barton Community College for the Vortex Art Show and workshops—and brought home some awards too! 👏
Congrats to Kaylyn Snodgrass (Best of Show), Maggie Haas, Temprance Donecker, Kendra Brasuel, Leah Pinkston, and Marleigh Johnson for placing in the show. We also loved seeing Emma Brackbill’s artwork featured as this year’s Vortex poster!
Huge thanks to Mrs. Pontius for leading such a strong art program at LHS! #larnedpride
