Our Board of Education held a work session at LES this week, and we were proud to have two third graders, Colby Hatfield and Maggie Keith, share about the mock trials their class held on Constitution Day. 🇺🇸👏 Each semester, the board holds three additional meetings (work sessions), with one hosted inside each of our school buildings. These meetings give board members the chance to see learning in action and hear directly from the people their decisions affect. Thank you to LES for welcoming us on a busy fall picture day, and to our board members who made time away from their own jobs to be with us! #larnedpride #lesfamily

Beth Millan would like to nominate Craig Lyman for the Orange Spot recognition. Mr. Lyman did some research on SpongeBob characters because he knew that Shawn gets a kick out of them. He came in early to write a good morning message for Shawn to start his day, using Shawn's famous words: "Have a good day!" He truly made Shawn's day. Thank you, Mr. Lyman. #larnedpride

Orange spot - I would like to nominate Mrs. Polston, the 7th grade science teacher at the middle school. She was so kind and awesome to my class and allowed them to attend her "pencils in a bag" experiment. They had a great time!
