Spring Break well spent! LHS theater students rolled up their sleeves for a day of spring cleaning at the community center. #larnedpride #bestrribeever

Introducing the JAG-K Student of the Month, Aspyn Kingsbury! Here's what a few teachers had to say about her:
"I had Aspyn in a class last year. From last year to this year she has improved significantly in her confidence. Her public speaking skills have drastically improved too. I can not wait to see what more she is able to accomplish in her future." -Mr. Scheideman
"Aspyn does a great job staying on top of her work. She goes above and beyond expectations in the classroom and is a great friend to everyone. She is always willing to help." -Mrs. Zook
"Aspyn is a great kid. She stays on top of all her work. If she is missing something, she makes sure to get it turned in. She is an important member of the Scholars Bowl team, never missing, and participating in every practice. I am very proud of Ash and her accomplishments." -Mr. Upson #larnedpride #besttribeever

These 6th graders completed Hunters Safety with Eli Makings yesterday! #larnedpride #bettertogether

We started off Spring Break by celebrating a great group of Upstander award recipients! The LHS PTO wants to recognize those students who exemplify the true spirit of an Upstander – those who demonstrate kindness, empathy, and courage in supporting others and standing up for what's right. Congratulations to Arianna Hemken, Kinley Atteberry, Alexis Stewart, Slade Sundahl, David Colglazier, and Jocelyn Clawson (not pictured) for their well-deserved Upstander Awards! #larnedpride #besttribeever

Here's a few good news calls home to start Spring Break!

Our 1st graders had a blast today with a visit from the 'Picture Lady' courtesy of Prairie Arts Unlimited! 🎨 Big shoutout to Prairie Arts for their continuous support in bringing creativity to our students' lives! And guess who made a surprise appearance? Shannon's son, Luke Fischer! The students loved it! #larnedpride #lesfamily #bettertogether

Calling all young track stars! 🏃♀️✨ Join the Larned Kids Track & Field Club – where youth aged 1st through 6th grade learn, grow, and excel in track and field! For sign-ups and more info, check out their Facebook page, 'Larned Kids Track and Field Club,' or contact Shane Weiszbrod. #larnedpride

Happy 100th Day of Pre-K! It's time to celebrate, because 100 years old never looked so good! 🎉 Our littlest learners had a blast today stacking 100 cups, playing "Would You Rather" with 100 things, crafting 100 day crowns, and imagining what they'd do with $100! #larnedpride #lesfamily #learningisfun

LMS hosted the CKL Music Festival yesterday! Band and choir scored II in large group. Olivia Holt, Grayson Maxwell, and Addison Snodgrass earned I ratings for their piano solos, and Olivia and Grayson also scored I on trumpet solos! Olivia Holt got a II for her vocal solo. Congratulations to all performers on a job well done! #larnedpride

When it comes to Mrs. McGurk, one thing's for sure - she's a good sport! First grade won last week's Book Fair Coin Drive, and as their reward, a lucky few students got to turn their principal into an ice cream sundae! 🍦🎉 #larnedpride #lesfamily

🤼♂️🥇👏 LMS CKL Wrestling Results are in! Congrats to our wrestlers: Max Henderson (3rd, 75lbs), Kobe Lang (Undefeated League Champion, 115lbs), Grayson Maxwell (3rd, 120lbs), Asher Alexander (3rd, 127lbs), Jax Johnson (4th, 134lbs), and Calvin Keith (League Champion, 141lbs)! On the girls' side, Miranda Nolde placed 3rd, and Brileigh Stahlecker and Paisley Weiszbrod both took 2nd. Overall, LMS Wrestling took 5th place! 🥳
Coach Upson commends their dedication, saying, 'Great job, great team, proud of their effort and work ethic. They all did everything asked of them, and were the most coachable group I have ever worked with. The future looks bright for the Larned Wrestling Program as they move on! I can't express the importance of our wrestling club - these kids came in with a solid base and we really just built off of that. Our club coaches do an excellent job and don't get enough credit for the time and work they do. Without their dedication, achievements like these wouldn't be possible.' 💪 #larnedpride

It's almost Spring Break! Just a reminder, there will be no school March 8th - March 15th. We will see you back at school on March 18th! #larnedpride

These lucky LHS art students went to Art Day at Sterling College today! 🎨 They attended multiple workshops and learned about the art programs offered at the college. Thank you Mrs. Pontius for taking them - sounds like they had a great time! #larnedpride #besttribeever #learningisfun

🍎📚 Ten apples up on top, what a sight to see! Thanks to all our families who made it over for Apples and Books this morning, making our morning as sweet as can be! #larnedpride #lesfamily #bettertogether

Big thanks to Dr. Kristin Feeback for an eye-opening talk on the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline and the opioid crisis. Your insights were invaluable for our students, families, and the entire Larned community! Special shoutout to LHS PTO for hosting and Pawnee County Attorney's Office for sponsoring through the Criminal Diversion Fund. #larnedpride

Celebrating sweet victory with Mr. Sleder's 5th grade class! They crushed it and earned themselves a well-deserved ice cream float/sundae party after their cereal bowl WIN! This class alone brought an impressive 137 boxes. Way to go! #larnedpride #lesfamily

#Good news calls home!

Do your best, be your best! We are so proud of these LES students who were named Student of the Month! #larnedpride #lesfamily
