LMS Retake Picture Day is tomorrow, 10/11/2023! If you're satisfied with your child's picture, no further action is required.
If you purchased and were unhappy with your Picture Package, please send your Picture Package to school with your student on Retake Day. Your Retake Picture Package will be produced and shipped to the school four weeks after Retake Day. Please note, if your child is photographed on the original and Retake Picture Days, the Retake picture will replace the original picture in certain products, like the yearbook.
Students who were absent for Picture Day should come to school prepared to have their picture taken. If you have not preordered, please use the Retake Order Code 79056NF to place your order at https://inter-state.com/Order. To see your Order History, check your Inter-State Account. #larnedpride
This morning, we announced Krysten Watkins as the September Superhero at LES for going to infinity and beyond! Or, as most of us usually say, this staff member goes above and beyond his/her job description and is always willing to help others. We are excited to share that tonight, she was recognized as the district staff member of the month at the BOE meeting. The district award winners are chosen by an outside voting panel, but nominations are submitted by students and fellow staff members each month.
Krysten is a social worker at LES and also leads the Student Ambassador program. She is known for her kindness and her willingness to support any and every body. The kids speak highly of Mrs. Watkins, and it’s no wonder why. She is always there when they need her, whether that’s by offering a listening ear or helping them navigate the challenges of young friendship. She is the one that they can turn to when they need a guiding hand or a comforting presence. She also always has a plus one, Indi, who adds an extra touch of joy to LES. 🐾
Krysten is able to make connections that last far beyond LES, and we are truly lucky to have her with us at USD 495. Congratulations Krysten! #larnedpride #lesfamily

Each month, students and fellow staff members at Larned High School submit a nomination for the Rockstar Teacher award. We are proud to announce that Mr. Keith is the well-deserved rockstar recipient for September for setting the stage for success! This teacher is somebody who has taught you something that is extremely important for a future endeavor, whether that be ensuring you are prepared for an important assignment/test/project or is teaching you something substantial that will be useful even after graduation. Not only does Mr. Keith excel in the classroom, but he also goes above and beyond as the head football coach, leading the Indians to a successful season! Mr. Keith knows how to balance his responsibilities as both a teacher and a coach, and his dedication and passion for what he does shines through in everything he does. No matter where Mr. Keith is, he always gets the job done, and his impact on our kids are immeasurable. 📚💪 Congratulations! #larnedpride #besttribeever
