Mrs. Erway's class celebrated Coronation Day. How fun to learn and re-enact a part of history. They also had to drink some tea and eat biscuits.

Teachers play a huge role in our lives! Each month, we would like to recognize the teachers from Larned High School and highlight their achievements. Nominations were submitted by students and other staff members at LHS for the Rockstar Teacher award. Mrs. Pontius was selected as our April Rockstar Teacher at LHS! She was nominated for this award many times, but the common theme was that she is kind and always willing to help. Students and staff also shared how positive she is and how she cares deeply for each student equally. Thank you for all you do, Mrs. P! #larnedpride #rockstarteacheraward

A big thank you to the Reed Pharmacy crew for sharing their enthusiasm and joy as they greeted LES students this morning! It’s always fun to see the kids’ surprised and excited reactions as they recognize the people hosting Hi5 Friday!

Volleyball coaches, Amy Wilson, Lucia Hagerman, and Jordahn Barton wanted to make the girl's locker rooms someplace special. A place to highlight their achievements and and encourage them through tough moments during volleyball and basketball season. Everything was painted by Larned female athletes, and every picture is of a Larned female athlete dominating her sport. The first set of senior hand prints were in 2018. Each time the seniors place their handprint on the ceiling, they are reminded by the coaches of the legacy they have left behind, and the amazing future they have in front of them. We will miss you Jayme, Kiana, and Liz! #larnedpride

SOLD! 7th grade had their End of the Year Auction today! They do a "real world" checking unit all year long. Students pay rent, get paychecks for showing up for class, can buy their way into the room if tardy or extra time on an assignment, etc. At the end of the year we do a final auction, so those that have managed their money well have an option to "spend it". Gary Wagner from Carr Auction & Real Estate was here to auction the items off and it got pretty intense! #larnedpride

4th Grade Ag Day up at the Fairground today! #lesfamily #larnedpride
