We are excited to announce that the Pawnee County Summer Food Service Program will be starting up soon! From June 5th onwards, free meals for all children ages 1-18 will be served from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Methodist Church.
Please note that the first time you pick up meals, you will need to bring your child(ren) and complete the required paperwork. You will also be asked to present your card with the number of children registered for the program each time you pick up the lunches. This year, meals will be grab-and-go for your convenience.
Here's some additional wonderful news: children aged 1-18 can also get free snacks at the Jordaan Memorial Library, from Monday to Friday, 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM also starting on June 5th.
It is truly heartwarming to see our community coming together to provide free meals and snacks for our children this summer. We urge all parents and guardians to take advantage of this wonderful program. Let us help our children grow and thrive as they enjoy delicious meals and snacks throughout the summer.
Thank you to the Pawnee County Food Service Program leaders and Jordan Memorial Library for their hard work and dedication in making this program possible. Let us spread the word and ensure that all our children are well-fed and happy this summer! #larnedpride

Last but certainly not least! LMS is excited to announce that our final winner for All Star Staff Member of the month for the month of May is Liz McDonald! Mrs. McDonald was nominated by students and fellow staff members at LMS. Liz goes above and beyond for every single student and staff member she encounters. Whether it's helping with technology, coming up with creative new ideas for the classroom, or simply being the calm during the storm, you can count on Liz. She is an excellent leader to her support staff and will always step up to any challenge. Congratulations, Mrs. McDonald! You deserve it! #larnedpride

Finishing up the year with our final Superhero staff member of the month awards! These recipients were nominated by the students and fellow staff members at LES. Our winners for May are Mrs. Erway, Mrs. Ceniceros and Mrs. Converse! Mrs. Erway shows kindness that is stronger than kryptonite! This staff member shows compassion to not only the students but also to other staff members as well. By the looks of her nominations, Alysa is known for being kind and having fun. Other students mention that she looks out for them and always shows love to all. Mrs. Ceniceros goes to infinity and beyond! Or, as most of us usually say, this staff member goes above and beyond his/her job description and is always willing to help others. Amanda is always willing to help, she has the kindest heart and has taken on so many roles this year all while keeping a smile on her face. Mrs. Converse is the Guardian of the Galaxy! This staff member's super powers include always looking out for others and being the gravity that holds the galaxy together! Sheila has a hug ready for everyone each day as they walk through the doors. She is always a helper and always shows kindness. If you need a friend or someone to lean on, Mrs. Converse is your girl! Thank you all for everything you do for USD 495! #lesfamily #larnedpride

Do your best, be your best! So proud of these students for receiving student of the month awards! #lesfamily #larnedpride
