Larned High School students from Mrs. Reimer’s and Mrs. Fox’s classes had a great day at the Hays Transition Council Job Olympics! This competition is designed to provide real-world life skills for future employment readiness and citizenship development. Here’s who brought home medals: 🏅 Wyatt – 2nd in Simple Construction & Daycare Assistance 🏅 Madison – 3rd in Gift Basket, 2nd in Bagging Groceries & Sorting Mail 🏅 Will – 3rd in Recycling 🏅 Aaron – 2nd in Money Skills 🏅 Sabrina – 3rd in Towel Folding Shawn also represented Larned proudly, of course—great job to him and all of our students who participated. Larned Baseball and Softball hit the road tonight for a preseason jamboree in Ellis! First pitch is at 4:00 PM at the Ellis Fairgrounds, 801 Cottonwood Street. Larned will take on Ellis in Game 1, followed by a matchup with Colby in Game 2. Games are capped at 5 innings or 90 minutes. No new inning will start after 75 minutes. No admission will be charged, but heads up—there won’t be any concessions available. Come out and support our teams as they get the season started! #larnedpride

On March 12, Larned High School JAG-K students participated in the State Career Development Conference at Wichita State University. This event brings JAG-K students from across Kansas together to compete in career-based events and leadership activities. Congratulations to our very own Kaylyn Snodgrass and Brennon Stahlecker, who earned 2nd place in the Business Plan Team competition! Their outstanding performance qualifies them to compete at the National Career Development Conference in Indianapolis this April. We are proud of these students for representing LHS so well! JAG-K prepares students for success after high school, whether through college, the workforce, or the military. A big thank you to Mr. Hagerman for his leadership and dedication to the LHS JAG program and wish Kaylyn and Brennon the best of luck at nationals! 🎉👏 #larnedpride

On Tuesday, March 11, LMS band and choir students traveled to Pratt for the CKL League Music Festival. In addition to the full band and choir performances, several students prepared and performed solos for a judge, earning Excellent or Outstanding ratings.
