LHS Track heads to Regionals today, Thursday, May 22, at Scott Community High School (712 Main St., Scott City). Jumping events, shot put, and javelin begin at 2:00 PM, with discus to follow shot prelims. Running events start at 4:00 PM with a 30-minute break between prelims and finals.
KSHSAA admission is $8 for adults and $6 for students (K–12). Restrooms are located near the north concession area, south of the tennis courts, and by the track storage shed. Concessions will be available at the northwest main entrance. #larnedpride

Track records were dropping left and right this season at LMS! From the first meet to the last, these student-athletes showed up and showed out—some even breaking records that had stood since the 1980s! 🔥
🏃♀️ Finley Froetschner broke the 100m hurdles (17.28), the 100m dash (13.80), and helped set new records in the 4x100 and medley relays.
🏃♀️ Ava Fleske set the 200m hurdles record (34.91) and ran on the record-breaking 4x100 and medley relays.
🏃♀️ Darby Sundahl broke the 200m (28.28) and 400m (1:04.89—a record from 1986!) and was part of both relay teams.
🏃♀️ Kenzi Holopirek helped power the 4x100 and medley relays into the record books.
🏃♀️ Shayla Ploutz set a new record in the 3200m run (15:37.75).
🏃♂️ Jaiden Detherage broke the 7th grade boys 3200m record (14:15.13).
🏃♂️ Edward “EJ” Condry set the 8th grade 100m record (11.50) and helped break the 4x100 and 4x200 relay records.
🏃♂️ Calvin Keith, Owen Shaver, and Khang Tran joined EJ in setting the 4x100 relay record.
🏃♂️ Tucker Thompson teamed up with EJ, Calvin, and Owen to break the 4x200 record—a record that had been standing since 1982!
