Good evening USD 495 families, there will be no school, Tuesday, January 7th. The district will be operating in Phase 2 of our Inclement Weather Procedures. This is primarily due to the slick road conditions of our rural routes for transportation services to operate tomorrow. We encourage everyone to stay safe and use caution when traveling. What a chaotic, FUN, and festive way to wrap up the last few days before Winter Break!
Our staff went all out for December with 12 Days of Christmas, with competitions including Anything but a Cup, Ugly Sweater, and Dress like a Christmas Tree or Present. And our students didn’t miss out either—Spirit Week was a blast!
Over at LHS, the Rock, Paper, Scissors Winter Wars were a HUGE hit and brought out some serious competitive spirit among both students AND staff! Meanwhile, LMS wrapped up their last day with a fun trip to the movies! 🎬
A couple of silly little elves snuck into the elementary school and pulled some pranks that left our younger students’ heads spinning this morning! 🎄🌀 And to top it all off, Santa and the Grinch were there to help us welcome our youngest students on their last day before break.
