Join us in congratulating Adam Apley as our District Staff Member of the Month!
Each month, students and staff vote for their building’s staff member of the month, and then an external voting panel of community members selects the overall district winner. This month, Adam Apley was chosen for his dedication to students and the positive impact he brings to the classroom.
Adam is known for putting students first, creating a fun yet practical learning environment where each student feels valued. One student said, “He’s strict but also kind and goofy, and it’s nice to have a teacher like that – it boosts the day.” His classes provide students with skills they can use in the future, especially those pursuing careers in welding, a passion many students discovered through Adam’s influence.
In addition to this honor, Adam was also recognized by Board Member Tyson Steffen for the work he and his students did to improve the entrance to our outdoor athletic facility. Adam’s impact is felt far and wide, and we’re so grateful for all he does.

🔥 It’s Fire Prevention Week! Yesterday, our Pre-K students had a special visit from the Larned Fire Department! 🚒 It’s always exciting for our littlest learners to check out the fire truck, but more importantly, they learned valuable lessons about fire safety. Seeing a firefighter in full gear helps them understand what a fireman (or woman!) might look like if they ever need help.
