We had a special guest today, Tommy Clarkson. He is one of our very own LHS alumni from the class of 1962, ! He generously presented his four top-selling books to our school libraries and took some time to talk with some community members about his life experiences since leaving his hometown. We believe that each and every staff member here at USD 495 is an essential part of our team, and we have seen some wonderful nominations for our staff of the month award! While we aren't able to choose every staff member to win each month, we didn't want to keep all of this positivity to ourselves! So, here's our first ever cheer from a peer, acknowledging the amazing things our Ft. Larned family does throughout the school year. We are grateful for all of you! #larnedpride #lesfamily

New this year! Any child aged 1-18 can stop by Jordaan Library for a free snack between 1:00-5:00 PM. Your child must be present to register for the Summer Food Program at the Methodist Church. The Pawnee County Summer Food Service Program kicks off today! From June 5th onwards, free meals for all children ages 1-18 will be served from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Methodist Church. Please note that the first time you pick up meals, you will need to bring your child(ren) and complete the required paperwork. After they are registered, they do not need to be present for you to pick up the food. Instead, just show your card with the number of children registered.
