Mr. Apley took a 4 man team to a competition yesterday at Garden City Community College put on by their welding program. The LHS team consisted of Gage Donecker, Daniel Kelty, Dylan Roberds, and Jameson Smith. They were tested on general safety, welding knowledge, blueprint reading, layout skills, torch cutting and SMAW welding and placed 8th out of 18! Way to go boys! #larnedpride

USD 495 has a contract with Providence Working Canines, who perform safety sweeps at random. Their canines are certified to detect 200 different contraband and explosive odors. It is fascinating to see this dog do her job! We are thankful for our continued collaboration with this agency as well as our partnership with local law enforcement. #larnedpride
