We have some very exciting news to share today about our nominee for the College Football Playoff's Extra Yard for Teachers program through K-State Athletics.
Earlier in the school year, Jennifer Fitzpatrick was recognized as the first ever Rockstar Teacher at Larned High School. We used the nominations she received by her students and fellow staff members for our home recognition program to nominate her for the Extra Yard program. To say at the least, she is definitely valued and respected by her colleagues, students, and administration.
Jennifer will receive two complimentary tickets to the K-State football game on September 9 against Troy, where she, along with approximately 300 educators from all over the state of Kansas will be honored. Members of the Kansas State College of Education will also pick a teacher to win $500 for a classroom project for the upcoming school year. Jennifer is very deserving of this recognition for the outstanding work she does at Larned High School and we couldn’t be prouder of her.
