James is the JAG-K student of the month! Here are some of the things her teachers said about him. #larnedpride
"James is very deserving of this recognition. From the beginning of the school year until now, James has been steadfast in his commitment to his studies, his involvement in school activities, and for his positive attitude. In short, James is a pleasure to have in
class." -Mr. Keith
"How awesome for James!!! I can't think of a student that is more deserving. James goes above and beyond with everything he does. James does great work in the classroom, and it shows with his accomplishments. James is an awesome student of Larned High
School." -Mr. Upson
"James is a responsible student and is always in for a fun time. He's willing to step in to help when or where needed even if it requires putting on a stinky Grinch suit for a marketing Tik Tok in yearbook! All jokes aside, he's a great kid and I enjoy having him in class." -Mrs. Stahlecker
"James is always eager to learn and has a positive attitude." - Mr. Erway

After determining the staff of the month winners at each building, we sent the nominations to an outside panel consisting of our city Mayor, the executive director of the Larned Chamber of Commerce, and a member of the Ft. Larned Foundation for Education. They selected Mrs. Tina Gladow as our District Staff Member of the Month! Mrs. Gladow was recognized at last night's Board of Education meeting by our Superintendent, Mr. Wachs, the President of the Board, Brent Hemken, and the rest of the BOE. Tina has been a wonderful addition to the LES and Ft. Larned family. With her previous role of being a social worker with a different age group and now working with young students, she knew it would be an adjustment - but she hit the ground running. She has been a natural working with our students and the kids adore her. Mrs. Gladow has been able to provide staff, students, and families with valuable resources that are available within our community or State. She fits in well and we are thankful she chose us! Congratulations, Mrs. Gladow, and thank you for everything you do for USD 495! #larnedpride #lesfamily
