Teachers play a huge role in our lives! Each month, we would like to recognize the teachers from Larned High School and highlight their achievements. Nominations were submitted by students and other staff members at LHS for the Rockstar Teacher award. Mrs. Fitzpatrick was selected as our February Rockstar Teacher at LHS! She had many nominations, but wanted to share one with you all. "Fitz does her very best to make sure that her students succeed. She will bend over backwards for any student as long as they make an effort. She doesn't give up on you ever. She does her best to be a teacher that students can learn from and reach out to. We had an amazing turnout to our Coffee Hour at LHS this morning! Three of our CTE (Career & Tech Ed.) instructors presented what their classes offer to our students here, and we all enjoyed our coffee cake made by Ms. Haney's FACS class! The Rodeo Committee stopped by LES today to check out the variety of activities that they have purchased for our elementary school. They donated $2000 to support our students, how awesome is that?! They also did this for Pawnee Heights students along with generous donations this year to the Larned Fire Dept. & EMS. In years past, they have purchased new headphones for Kindergarten classrooms and sight word discs for the hallways. The Rodeo Committee is made up of 10 board members and they are preparing to host their 4th annual open rodeo during Santa Fe Trail Days, May 26th & 27th. They love to give back to the kids and have a pretty exciting surprise up their sleeves... stay tuned! #bettertogether #larnedpride #lesfamily
