What a chaotic, FUN, and festive way to wrap up the last few days before Winter Break!
Our staff went all out for December with 12 Days of Christmas, with competitions including Anything but a Cup, Ugly Sweater, and Dress like a Christmas Tree or Present. And our students didn’t miss out either—Spirit Week was a blast!
Over at LHS, the Rock, Paper, Scissors Winter Wars were a HUGE hit and brought out some serious competitive spirit among both students AND staff! Meanwhile, LMS wrapped up their last day with a fun trip to the movies! 🎬
A couple of silly little elves snuck into the elementary school and pulled some pranks that left our younger students’ heads spinning this morning! 🎄🌀 And to top it all off, Santa and the Grinch were there to help us welcome our youngest students on their last day before break.

EnterpriseKC and JAG-K are doing amazing things across Kansas, and today they brought that kindness right here to LHS. EnterpriseKC is a business-led organization focused on building prosperity in Kansas by creating high-value jobs and strengthening the workforce. Earlier this fall, Olivia Armstrong from EnterpriseKC visited our JAG-K program and met Conner. She said there was just something about him that stuck with her.
When EnterpriseKC’s CEO asked her to pick a family to bless this holiday season, she immediately thought of Conner. This morning, Olivia and another team member hit the road at 4 AM from Kansas City to surprise him in JAG class. They brought Christmas gifts for Conner and his entire family, and even gave every student in the class a little something with one simple request: 'pay it forward.'
