Larned Middle School is looking for Veterans to help with morning announcements the week of Nov 12-15! 🇺🇸
We invite any U.S. Veterans who’d like to participate to arrive at the school office by 8:10 AM, and you’ll begin the announcements at 8:15 over our phone intercom. The announcements take about 3 minutes, and we ask that you introduce yourself, share where you’ve served, and lead us in the Pledge of Allegiance. (Announcements will be sent in advance!)
We’d also love to have Veterans join us for lunch with the students that week! You’re welcome to enjoy a school lunch or bring your own. It’s a great way for our students to connect with some of the bravest and most selfless individuals in our community.

Get ready for a big day and night! The Homecoming Parade kicks off at 3:00 PM in downtown Larned, followed by a Pep Rally on the courthouse lawn.
We’ll be crowning our king and queen at 6:20 PM, followed by the kickoff against Russell at 7:00 PM. Here’s what you need to know:
🎟️ Gate and Concession Prices: Attached for your convenience, so you’re ready when you arrive!
🐾 No Pets: Please note, no pets are allowed inside the sports complex—thank you for leaving your furry friends at home.
💧 Turf Rules: While on the turf, only water is allowed. No food or other drinks inside the 4-foot fence, please.
🍔 Dinner Time! Burgers and hot dogs from B&B Quality Meats, our hometown favorite, are on the menu. A huge thanks to the Garfield Fire Department for sponsoring and grilling up tonight’s dinner! Be sure to stop by the Concession Stand.

Our Board of Education held a special "Board Work Session" at Larned Elementary this morning!
They had the chance to hear from Mrs. McGurk and several student ambassadors before visiting a few classrooms. It was a great opportunity for discussions around LES successes and challenges, and we loved having them in the building during a regular school day.
