Celebrating a milestone at Ft. Larned! 🎓 Our 5th graders graduated from the D.A.R.E. Program today! The program returned this year led by Officer Sam Sullivan from the Larned Police Department. The graduation was a testament to the values instilled: resisting peer pressure, building self-esteem, embracing positive alternatives, improving communication and conflict resolution skills, and fostering a safer community. 🌟 Royce Froetschner, one of our graduates, shared the program's impact on her, saying, "I hope that other kids will have the opportunity that I did and hopefully have a D.A.R.E program in their community. I have loved this program ever since we got it. I will definitely use these things we learned in D.A.R.E now and in the future." Congratulations to all of our 5th grade students, we are so proud of you! #larnedpride #lesfamily #bettertogether

Reminder, with the 2 hour delay, there will be NO am preschool or breakfast served. Please be sure they eat before coming to school. Thank you.
USD 495 families there will be a 2-hour delay, Wednesday, January 24th. The national weather service is predicting freezing rain and freezing drizzle overnight that will impact travel in the morning. This will allow addition time for the temperatures to rise and facilities to be treated. Student and staff safety is always our top priority and we appreciate your support.
Little Cheer Clinic Families - If your child is staying for the clinic on Thursday, please call the school to notify us of that. If we do not hear from parents/guardians, we will be following the child(ren)'s normal dismissal plans. Thank you!
