We can't end the day without giving a special shout-out to our amazing administrators on National School Principal Day! These 3 work tirelessly to support their students and staff. We have some of the best! #lesfamily #larnedpride #SchoolPrincipalsDay

These two are a special pair. Today, they laundered the LHS band banner and Ms. Millan said that Shawn really enjoyed using the washer and dryer! Thank you! #larnedpride

Jameson Smith and Daniel Kelty received 1st and 3rd place at SkillsUSA Commercial Roofing. Way to go, guys! #larnedpride

Do your best, be your best! We are PROUD of our students of the month! #lesfamily #larnedpride

Each month, we would like to recognize a staff member from Larned Elementary School and highlight their achievements! Nominations are open to be submitted by students and fellow staff members at LES to select their Superhero Staff Member of the Month! Our winners for April are Officer Perez, Mr. Gingerich and Mrs. Mick! Officer Perez goes to infinity and beyond! Or, as most of us usually say, this staff member goes above and beyond his/her job description and is always willing to help others. We are so fortunate to have Officer Perez in our district. He loves working with the students and adds an extra layer of safety to our building. It has been great to see kids get more comfortable with his presence and understand he is here for the kids throughout the year. Mr. Gingerich shows kindness that is stronger than kryptonite! This staff member shows compassion to not only the students but also to other staff members as well. He is also a powerful problem solver! This staff member is your go-to when problems arise. They always find the solution that's best for everyone involved! Mr Gingerich always goes the extra mile to build solid relationships with students and takes the time to make sure each student feels valued. He is always thinking outside of the box to engage his students in learning and practicing skills. He also has a talent for juggling and creating words with students like Thur. Mrs. Mick goes to infinity and beyond! Mrs. Mick is always taking anything thrown at her with a smile on her face. She willfully took on multiple additional IEP's within days notice due to a coworker having a death in the family. She does so well in communicating with parents and is AWESOME with kids. She is always putting others' needs in front of hers even if it means missing a lunch or a plan period. She is such a tremendous asset to LES. She is a great staff member and is always willing to step in to fill duties. Mrs. Mick has been a great mentor to new teachers!
Thank you all for everything you do for USD 495! #lesfamily #larnedpride

This week's attendance winners! Thank you to our sponsors! #larnedpride #lesfamily #bettertogether

A message from Coach Keith: Larned football fans and families,
We will begin on the locker room project tomorrow at 8am. High school football players who are available to help should report to the locker room at 8am to get started.
If they can, football players should bring a set of ratchets and an impact driver with them if they have one. If not, no biggie. We'll have tools.
Tomorrow, our objectives are:
-Remove the the rubber floor mats from the floor
-Pull the padding off the walls
-Disassemble the lockers and paint them (if the weather permits)
Pictures will be posted tomorrow.
Go Indians! #larnedpride

Meet the LHS softball team! This video was filmed by Mrs. Munden and was edited by Johna Garcia, LHS Video production student. Go Indians! #larnedpride

The students were ready with high fives, low fives, double fives and even a hug or two thrown in there. Thank you for bringing the fun cups and treats for the students and staff. They were appreciated by all!
